WLKY-TV reports that the “What’s Poppin’” rapper’s DJ and producer, Ronnie Lucciano aka Ronnie Tyshon O’Bannon, is accused of shooting and killing a 37-year-old bartender named Kasmira Nash. The fatal shooting occurred at a Kentucky Derby afterparty at the Vibes Restaurant and Ultra Lounge, when an argument led to shots fired. Harlow fled the scene and escaped to safety, while O’Bannon was formally charged last week. According to the Courier-Journal, O’Bannon turned himself in, with a bond set at half a million bucks.
O’Bannon’s lawyer, Rob Eggert, says he is confident that his client will be exonerated at trial. His arraignment is set for Monday.
Harlow hasn’t posted on social media since the incident, though he will appear at another Triple Crown horse race this weekend, when he performs at the Preakness Live concert with 2 Chainz and DJ D-Nice.
