Kanye West Says Daughter North Is Making Him "Love Music Again"

Kanye West is reigniting his love for music. After the struggles of VULTURES 2, he believes he's turning a new leaf. He is currently working on a new album called BULLY and shared updates about recording sessions on January 20. In a touching message, he spoke about how his daughter, North West, inspired him to create music for the joy of it. North is clearly set to play a significant role in his upcoming projects. Kanye praised her dedication and her eagerness to be in the studio. He mentioned he has been producing beats more than he has in years. In an Instagram post, he expressed, "This little girl made me love music again," noting how she encouraged him to make beats for her. He has been working hard on BULLY, creating beats by hand. He also posted a picture of North in the studio during a session, showcasing a more positive side of him, especially after the troubled releases of VULTURES 1 and 2.

In his latest posts, Kanye highlighted his recording sessions without promoting BULLY or himself. The focus was on North. He shared two videos featuring her. In the first, she approaches a setup with Tony Williams, a longtime collaborator. The second shows her in front of a screen and microphone, with a vocal loop playing. Kanye can be heard asking his engineer to "play it."

Kanye has high hopes for North, which fits with their previous collaborations. She rapped on "TALKING" from VULTURES 1 in 2024 and also appeared with her sister Chicago West and Yuno Miles on the song "BOMB." This track was particularly notable because it was presented as a Kanye West song but only featured his children and Yuno Miles on the verses.
