Accuweather Makes Hurricane Predictions

(Undated) -- Time to batten down the Texas hatches as Accuweather is out with the upcoming Atlantic hurricane season predictions. Forecasters say there could be as many as 20 to 25 named storms this season which starts June 1st. Of those, they expect eight to 12 to gain hurricane status, with potentially four to seven hitting the U.S. with major consequences. Experts say Texas, South Florida, the Panhandle and the Carolinas should expect to see a heightened risk from the storm season that runs through the end of November.
