Happy Birthday Doja Cat!

Happy Birthday Doja Cat!

Born and raised in LA, she began making and releasing music on SoundCloud, when her song "So High" caught the attention RCA Records. She signed a joint record deal with Kemosabe and at the age of 17, released her debut EP Purrr! in 2014.

After the uneventful release of her debut album, Amala in 2018, Doja Cat got viral success as an internet meme with her single "Mooo!". Her second album, Hot Pink reached the top 10 of the US Billboard 200 and spawned the singles "Juicy" and also "Say So", which topped the Billboard chart following the release of a remix featuring Nicki Minaj.

She followed that with Planet Her this year, which spent three consecutive weeks at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and spawned top 20 singles "Kiss Me More" (featuring SZA), "Need to Know" and "You Right" (with the Weeknd).

A Billboard Music Award, two American Music Awards and three MTV Video Music Awards, and three Grammy Awards, make for a very happy career on a very happy birthday!

Earlier this year she made a splash in OneOf's first auction as her single edition crystal token was sold for $188,888!

OneOf, operates on the Tezos blockchain protocol, and Dojo's item served as the largest auctioned item in Tezos history. It outsold JAY-Z’s Sotheby's, which went for $139,000, as the limited-edition token included an all-expense-paid flyway and VIP tickets to see the star on her next tour.

OneOf partnered with the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival, and dropped one million free iHeartRadio Music Festival "poker chip" tokens, and a series of digital festival posters created by Cory Van Lew. Proceeds from the sales went to Right Here, Right Now, a global climate alliance that works with United Nations Human Rights to advocate for urgent action to protect the rights of people around the world suffering from the impact of climate change.
