The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a drowning. Deputies were called to the Umphrey Pavillion Saturday afternoon and upon arrival joined a good Samaritan and continued CPR. They were unable to revive the victim. Preliminary investigation indicates the man was fishing with his wife and fell into the water.
