A Port Arthur man has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in federal prison for the intent to
distribute methamphetamine. 40-year old Michael James Shaw was arrested in October of
last year following a search warrant at his home. 454 grams of pure methamphetamine were
hidden inside an upholstered chair in his living room. Four firearms were also located. Shaw,
who pleaded guilty, was sentenced to 235 months yesterday.
