The Newton County Sheriff’s is investigating the drowning of a 45-year old man. A woman
called the sheriff’s office yesterday afternoon stating her husband drowned in a lake at their
home on County Road 1073. Attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful. He has been
identified as Daniel Olexy. An autopsy has been ordered.
