The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for aggravated robbery. 28-
year old Dashawn Cordell Brown is accused of attempting to steal a car at knife point at
the 11th Street Market Basket last month. A man and a 2-year old child were in the car at
the time. The victim suffered cuts in the incident. Witnesses led police to Brown, who was
walking on 11th shortly after he attempted to steal the car.
