As of September 1st, new state laws will increase Texans' gun rights. Teachers with a permit
will be able to bring their guns as far as the parking lot of a school, but not into the classroom.
Foster parents will be allowed to own guns, provided they keep them secured. Gun owners will
be able to bring a gun into any church or place of worship that doesn't post a sign saying not to
do so. Handgun owners without a carry permit will be allowed to carry for a week after a natural
disaster declaration. And, landlords won't be allowed to exclude gun owners as tenants.
