It is Friday, time to take a look at what we are paying at the pump. The average price for a
gallon of gas in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is up eight cents to $2.34 a gallon. The
statewide average is $2.40 a gallon, which is up a dime from last week. This morning’s average
for a gallon of gas nationwide is $2.61, which is up eight cents. These averages are compiled
