The Silsbee Independent School District Board of Trustees have named Dr. Gregg Weiss
as its lone finalist for the district’s superintendent. Dr. Weiss has 25 years in education
and currently serves as principal of Hawkins High School in Hawkins, Texas. Silsbee ISD
interviewed six initial interviews and three of those were invited back for second interviews.
The board is expected to vote on a contract for Dr. Weiss on April 10th.He will replace
former superintendent Richard Bain Jr.
