The search for an inmate that escaped from the federal Satellite Prison Camp in Beaumont
continues. Authorities are looking for 40-year old Covarrubia Mendiola, who was discovered
missing from the complex Saturday night. The escapee is a white male with brown hair, brown
eyes, is 5โ11 and weighs about 190 pounds. Earlier Saturday, three inmates that walked away
from a boot camp at the complex were taken back into custody.
