Checking Friday at the pump as we head into the holiday weekend shows the average price for
a gallon of gas in the Beaumont-Port Arthur area is up seven cents to $2.70. The statewide
average is up a nickel to $2.76. This morningโs national average for a gallon of gas is up
eight cents to $2.96.
